As a Jointers Mate you will assist with general site work associated with the repair, maintenance and construction of overhead lines/underground cables. Some electrical experience would be an advantage, however full training will be given.
The work involves being away from the depot, working in the area in and around the Cardiff area in a team of two people. The environment requires you to be able to react quickly, decisively and responsibly. You will also need to be flexible in your approach to assist the team in meeting its objectives.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys the demands of a physical outdoor environment. You will be joining an already established team that offer customer service driven results within strict health and safety guidelines.
You will need to be mobile throughout the area and you may also be required to undertake out of hours standby duties, therefore a full driving license is desirable.
To be successful in securing this role you will have hands on, outdoors experience and ideally have some basic electrical experience/knowledge. Typical backgrounds can include; ground worker, foreman, excavator, cable layer, labourer, for example.
This is a 37 hour a week position with overtime requirements.
