Brite Services is recruiting for this position as a full-time Finance Co-ordinator (Maternity Cover)  for fixed term approximately 12 months to join a busy office set in beautiful grounds, at present the role will be working from home to be reviewed. This role will report directly to the Finance & Administration Manager. The key purpose of  the role is to carry out the purchase ledger function for the business. The requirements of the job will be many and varied, commensurate with the needs of a dynamic, high growth business. Working within the Finance Team, responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

•      Purchase ledger including expense claims to be processed in a timely basis

•      Posting of nominal ledger payments

•      Preparing weekly BACs payment run to suppliers

•      Posting of depreciation and FAR additions

•      Preparing monthly payroll payments

•      Issuing monthly cost reports to budget holders

•      Preparing petty cash returns

•      Reconciling supplier accounts and processing supplier statements

•      Assisting with annual Trainer and Course Leader re licensing

•      Supporting the sales ledger function as and when required

•      Dealing with ad-hoc queries

•      Assisting with the supplier approval process

Person Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience in an accounting environment and experience in purchase ledger. The candidate should also possess an appropriate accounting qualification. In addition, they will need to demonstrate:

•      Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.  

•      Be highly numerate and a proficient user of Excel and Word

•      Ability to work as part of a team and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment 

•      Commercial awareness 

•      Discretion and confidentiality 

•      First class organisational skills 

•      Ability to work autonomously and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment 

•      Ability to foster good working relationships with staff and external suppliers

•      Able to embrace change and company growth

•      Show attention to detail and be thorough

•      Ability to prioritise tasks and work well under pressure

•      Experience of purchase ledger and working in a finance environment

•      All round IT skills as well as use of Xero or other similar accounting software
