Their Bristol depot is seeking a 1st/2nd Line Support Systems Administrator, initially for a period of 6 months, with the scope to extend and the opportunity to apply for the positions within the business. It’s a foot in the door with a large organisation. 

There is onsite free parking. Holiday entitlement, 20 days + bank holidays, rising to 26 days + bank holidays after 12 weeks. Friendly and supportive environment. Hybrid working arrangement. 

As a 1st/2nd Line Support Systems Administrator, you will work in the Data Platforms team who look after the Reporting and Analytics Applications for the company. The role will primarily be split between working on a new 6 month DataMart implementation project, helping the technical architect to scope and design (and then running) the processes to support and best manage changes and requests to the DataMart and other supported applications. Also responsible for the front end application administration (access/security provisioning), implementing/co-ordinating changes/migrations (with assistance from technical teams) and a point of contact for the business and IT teams.

Tasks to include:

–              First line support/triage and issue escalation

-Second line support

–              Business/IT Point of contact

–              Daily system checks and logging issues with IT teams for resolution

–              Security and access provisioning of end users in the applications

–              Co-ordinating/Promoting/Migrating changes to Production or Test environments

–              Assisting on the implementation of a DataMart project, specifically in designing and documenting of processes and best practices.

–              Ensuring users request comply with data governance processes

Skills:

–              Familiar with ITIL concepts

–              Good understanding/overview of IT systems and applications

–              Experience with Windows based IT Applications and best practices

–              Highly organised and Process driven with attention to detail

–              Personable and able to build good working relationships with both technical and business stakeholders, gaining their respect and trust based on knowledge and professionalism

 

Salary will be dependant on experience, there is onsite free parking. Holiday entitlement, 20 days + bank holidays, rising to 26 days + bank holidays after 12 weeks.
